The US's Original Festival

This is one of San Francisco's largest festivals and also one of the oldest in the country.

The North Beach area was home to a large Italian community in the past but today the community has shrunk quite a bit. Fortunately the large amount of Italian restaurants still remain and the new demographics of young professionals and Chinese immigrants can enjoy the areas Italian spirit.

Yes it isn't a Greek fest but with this area being today's trendy spot there are a great amount of a modern, ethnic and trendy restaurants including Greek ones you need to try.

When it comes to the fest the food vendors are both local and from throughout the state so you have a great variety of cuisines to try. If your plan is to just stay at the fest and want to know which restaurants you want to try you can always look them up by going to www.sresproductions.com

If you're looking to nibble at the fest and then hit up a Greek sit-down restaurant your range is from fast food to taverns.

The area's most popular and trendy Greek restaurant is Kokkari located on Jackson St. or go for the more authentic Estia on Grant Ave. A quick internet search will guide you to the type of eatery you're looking for.
