The Dynamic Dance Duo Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike have been blessing the dance scene since the 90's. The two Greek brothers from Belgium Dimitri Thivaios and Michael Thivaios are ranked #2 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ's for the 2016-17.
In 1999 Dimitri started touring Europe with major stops in Mallorca Island, Spain, The Canary Islands, Halkidiki in Macedonia, Greece and back to Spain in Ibiza for his Privilege and Space residencies. His last residency was in Zante Island, Greece at Amnesia before he went back home to team up with his brother. Together they produced and released their first track titled "La Cocaina".
After that they released more tracks and remixes which got the attention of other big name DJ's and the rest as they say is history.
Next came Tomorrowland which the two not only hosted for the first time but also produced the anthem for it. They collaborated with many DJ's and released many tracks throughout their career making them take their rightful place at the top.
More recently the Dynamic Dance Duo had more hits, their "Chattahoochee" track hitting #1 on Beatport in less than 3 days in 2014, the most shazammed tracks in 2015 and most importantly they became the #1 DJ's in DJ Mag 2015.
Any time you read Turkish history or plan a trip to Turkey you always have something Greek pop up. The same goes for DJ Ummet Ozcan from the Netherlands with his background being from Turkey. In 2015 DJ Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike worked together with Ummet producing "The Hum" which charted Beatport. That success created a second collaboration in 2016 with Steve Aoki and Ummet Ozcan when the Greek duo released "Melody" which resulted in a #1 at the charts. It also became the official anthem for the 2016 Belgiun Football Team.
They impressed the dance world again in 2015 when their yearly "Bringing the Madness" concert in Antwerp had a huge sellout. Their tickets sold out 40,000 strong in just under 40 minutes which only artists such as U2 and Beyonce have accomplished. They were forced to add a 3rd show making the final count of 60,000 tickets sold.
DJ Mag has them ranked #2 for 2016-17, they won "Best Big Room DJ", the "Best Global DJ" for their second year in a row and "Best Music Video" with their collaboration with Ummet Ozcan.
Now get ready for 2017 because you know there's no stopping these Greek brothers.
