The Minotaur Lives On
OK this isn't the typical Greek Element post. There is no Greek ingredient in this burger but it does have a Greek name so we'll take it.
Of course you've heard of Kuma's Corner by now but if you haven't tried it yet then shame on you.
This is not just a food experience but a music experience as well. You must be prepared because it's all heavy metal and the volume isn't set low.
Get there early as there is typically a wait at lunch and dinner.
The burger is named Lair of the Minotaur after the Chicago thrash metal band and is topped with pancetta, caramelized onions, brie cheese and a bourbon poached pear.
Some think the pear poached in bourbon overpowers the burger while others see it as an amazing compliment which means you have to try it yourself to see.
From their flagship location on Belmont Ave. Kuma's has now grown to have 2 more locations in the city, 1 in the burbs and 1 in Indianapolis.
This is a great experience in both food and atmosphere so look up a location near you and head out. You can thank us later.
